2026 Patricia Bone Foundation Scholar
The Patricia Bone Foundation is pleased to announce Sotiriana Tropoulos as the recipient of the inaugural Patricia Bone Foundation Scholarship.
The scholarship was established to support students who demonstrate a strong commitment to advancing the field of Western herbal medicine.
The quality of applicants in the first year of the scholarship was exceptionally high. The selection panel shortlisted four candidates whose academic achievements and vision for the future of natural medicine were outstanding.

Sotiriana Tropoulos
Sotiriana Tropoulos is currently studying Health Science (Naturopathy) at Torrens University and previously completed a Bachelor of Pre-Medicine, Health and Science majoring in Nutrition at the University of Wollongong.
Her long-term goal is to pursue postgraduate medical studies and practise as an integrative health practitioner, combining naturopathic and conventional medical approaches.
She has a particular interest in women’s health, including hormonal imbalance, polycystic ovary syndrome, and endometriosis.
Reflecting on her interest in natural medicine, she writes:
“Health was not something merely discussed in my home — it was lived. Growing up in a Greek household, I was surrounded by traditions that understood health as balance between the body, lifestyle and environment.”
The Patricia Bone Foundation congratulates Sotiriana Tropoulos and looks forward to supporting her academic journey and future contribution to Western herbal medicine.
